Brian Binge, Director of Information Systems At Breckenridge Grand Vacations, Brian Binge is responsible for everything technology related throughout the entire company. He was named to the Executive Committee as Director of Information Technology after serving the company in various capacities since 1999. Originally hired as a front desk clerk, Binge soon worked his way into the Information Technology department as a Telecommunications Specialist. After one year, Binge moved into the dual roles of IT Manager/Systems Administrator where he restructured the various technology roles and oversaw major upgrades to network infrastructure and efficiency software while the company continued to experience prodigious growth. In 2005, Binge became the Director of Information Systems where he continues to oversee the strategic progress of the department, including the addition of an Application Development division. In January of 2007, he was appointed to the Executive Committee which oversees all aspects of development, property management, sales, operations and service. Born in Seattle, Binge attended Kenyon College where he graduated Magna Cum Laude with a B.A. in International Relations. After spending three years working for the Japanese government, Binge moved to Breckenridge and landed his first job with Grand Timber Lodge. Binge has held various technology certifications including those from Microsoft, Novell, and Cisco and he is currently a Certified Hospitality Technology Professional (CHTP). Binge was recognized by the American Resort Development Association (ARDA) as the Technology Manager ARDY Gold Award winner in 2007, given to the most outstanding technology employee in the entire national timeshare industry. In addition he and his team have won three ARDY Silver awards for Technology Team of the Year. Also a certified EMT, Binge volunteers with the Summit County Rescue Group where he served as the President and Group Leader for two years and is currently a Mission Coordinator.
